Status. This is the current version, and it describes how WatchMatrix.TV actually works today, so you can rely on it as our statement of what we do. It is a first version that has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. If that review changes anything, we will update this page and move the date above.

These are the standing disclaimers for WatchMatrix.TV, which is operated by Links.to LLC. They apply to this website and to the software described on it. They sit alongside our Terms of Service, which contain the full warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability.

No affiliation, and trademarks belong to their owners

Not affiliated. WatchMatrix.TV is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, X, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock, Paramount+, Tubi, Pluto TV, Crunchyroll, ESPN, Discord, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, LG, Roku, or any other service or company named on this site or in our software, with the single exception below.

One exception: PikiLinks. PikiLinks (pikilinks.com) is the link directory that the Matrix Browser desktop app and the mobile app can open. It is operated by Links.to LLC, the same company that operates WatchMatrix.TV, so we do have a material connection to it: common ownership. We are telling you because you should know that when we point you at PikiLinks we are pointing you at ourselves. It is still a separate website, with its own terms and its own privacy practices. Every other service and company named here or in our software is unaffiliated with us.

Trademarks.Service names, and the small service icons shown next to them in places like the phone remote’s service picker, are used only to identify those services. That use claims no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement, and it grants us nothing: all product names, brands, trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

Our own marks. MATRIX.TV (also written MATRIX TV), Matrix Browser and WatchMatrix.TV are trademarks of Links.to LLC.

We do not host, store, rehost, proxy, download, or break DRM

We do not host video. WatchMatrix.TVstores no video. Every stream you see plays from the platform’s own official player, delivered by that platform, straight to your device. We do not copy, re-host, proxy, cache, record, or redistribute any video or audio.

We do not break copy protection. WatchMatrix.TV does not download or rip content, does not strip or alter DRM, does not bypass paywalls, geographic restrictions, or account requirements, and does not remove or block advertising. Where a service requires a subscription, you sign in with your own account and watch under your own subscription.

Guide availability information is informational and may be wrong

Availability information may be out of date.The “where to watch” information in the TV guide comes from a third-party catalog, the Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night. It is a snapshot. It can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Catalogs change constantly, and availability differs by country, by plan, and by add-on. The catalog currently shipped with the site is past its own freshness date.

Do not rely on it. Always check the service itself before buying, subscribing, or planning to watch. We do not guarantee that a title is available on any service, that it is included with any plan, or that it will still be there when you look.

Third-party links and third-party content

Links to other sites. WatchMatrix.TVlinks to and opens other companies’ websites and players. We do not control them and we do not check them. We make no promise about their content, accuracy, availability, safety, or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and under their terms and their privacy policies, not ours.

Content we did not make. All streams, videos, titles, artwork, and chat shown through WatchMatrix.TV belong to the platforms and creators that publish them. We do not review, moderate, endorse, or take responsibility for that content. A stream may be unavailable, may block embedding, may be age-restricted, or may be removed at any time by the platform or the creator, and that is entirely outside our control.

The desktop app is a browser, and it uses your accounts

Matrix Browser loads real websites.The Matrix Browser desktop app is a web browser. When you open a site in a pane, that is a real visit to that site, and you sign in with your own account, exactly as you would in any other browser. Your logins and cookies stay on your computer. We never see them and we never receive them. Your use of each site is governed by that site’s own terms.

Watch party, and the separate feature that does send video

Watch party.A watch party keeps everyone’s player in sync. It sends play and pause state, the position, and which title is playing, plus any display name, chat message, emoji reaction, or poll vote you send. It does not send video. Everyone in the party plays the stream themselves, from the platform’s own player, using their own access to that platform.

Matrix View is different. Matrix View is a separate feature that you start yourself. It captures the WatchMatrix.TV tab or window on your own device and sends that picture as live video to a second screen you have paired. That one does transmit video.

How the connection is made. Watch parties, the phone remote, and Matrix View connect your devices directly to each other. Setting up that connection uses public infrastructure operated by the PeerJS project and a public Google address-discovery server, and it discloses your IP address to them and to the other people in the session. If a direct connection cannot be made, the session traffic is relayed through servers operated by the PeerJS project. None of that infrastructure is operated by us. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

Casting, TVs, and remotes

Casting. Google Cast, Chromecast, AirPlay, Roku, LG, and webOS are trademarks of their respective owners. WatchMatrix.TV is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by any of them. Casting and screen-sharing depend on your own devices, your own network, and features built into your browser or operating system. We cannot guarantee that any device will work.

Products that are built but not available

Not yet available. The Matrix Browser desktop app, the WatchMatrix mobile app, the browser extensions, and the TV app are described on this site but are not currently distributed. They are not in the App Store, Google Play, the Chrome Web Store, or the Microsoft Store, and no desktop build is available to download right now.

As-is, no warranty

WatchMatrix.TV is free and is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will work, that any particular stream will play, or that anything you see here is accurate. The full warranty disclaimer and the limitation of liability are in our Terms of Service.
