// Phone remote

Your phone is the remote.Run the wall from the couch.

Scan the QR on your wall and your phone becomes a live remote - mute all, mix each stream’s volume, add feeds and shuffle the layout, all from the sofa. No app to install, nothing to sign up for.

Free · no app · pairs over a direct P2P link

// In your hand

Every wall control, on your phone.

The remote mirrors the wall the second it pairs, so what you press on the phone lands on the big screen instantly.

Mute all in one tap

Silence every stream at once from the top of the remote, then bring back just the one you want to hear. Killing the whole wall’s audio from the couch is a single press - no hunting for the right tile.

Per-stream volume mixer

One slider per tile. Solo the caster, duck the crowd, or balance four feeds by ear without leaving the sofa. Every nudge mirrors onto the wall live, so the mix you hear is the mix on the big screen.

Add streams from your hand

Paste a YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble or X link on your phone and the tile drops onto the wall the moment you send it. Grow the grid from the couch - no walking back to the keyboard.

Shuffle, focus, close tiles

Reshuffle the layout, tap a tile to focus it full-bleed, or close the ones you are done with. Rearrange the whole wall from your phone while it stays locked on the big screen.

Play or pause everything

One control pauses or resumes every stream together - handy for a break or when the room wants to talk. Freeze the wall and pick it back up without ever touching the TV.

No app, peer-to-peer

The remote is a web page, not a download, and it talks straight to the wall over a WebRTC link. Nothing you press is routed through a server, and there is no account to create.

// How pairing works

Paired in about ten seconds.

  1. 1

    Open the wall

    Open your wall at watchmatrix.tv/stream (or the Matrix Browser) and add a few streams so there is something to control.

  2. 2

    Open Connect

    In the media bar, open the Connect popup and pick Phone remote. A pairing QR and a short code like wm-7c2f appear on screen.

  3. 3

    Scan and control

    Point your phone camera at the QR. The remote opens already paired, and the mute, mixer, add and shuffle controls go live.

// On the big screen

Casting? The remote runs the TV.

Put the wall on the big screen first - one-tap Google Cast from Chrome or Android lands it on a Chromecast, and the Matrix Browser adds one-click “Open on my LG TV” for webOS sets. Then your paired phone drives what the whole room is watching: mute, mixer, add and shuffle, straight from the couch.

// The wall you are pairing to

Two ways to build the wall.

The remote pairs with either one - a wall in your browser, or a wall of signed-in panes on the desktop.

Web viewer

Paste YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble and X links into one auto-arranged grid in any browser - the wall your phone pairs to in seconds. Open the web viewer ▸

Matrix Browser

The split-view desktop browser where every tile is a real signed-in pane - Netflix, Max, Disney+ and your live streams. Same Connect pairing in its media bar. Get the Matrix Browser ▸

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn my phone into a remote?
Open your wall at watchmatrix.tv/stream, add a few streams, then open the media bar’s Connect popup and choose Phone remote. A QR and a code like wm-7c2f appear. Scan the QR with your phone camera and it opens the remote, already paired - no app to install.
What can I control from my phone?
Everything on the wall. Mute all or play and pause every stream at once, shuffle the layout, focus or close any tile, and paste in new stream links from the couch. A per-stream volume mixer lets you solo the caster and duck the rest, one slider per tile.
Do I need to install an app?
No. The remote is a web page at watchmatrix.tv/remote that runs in the browser your phone already has. There is nothing to download from an app store and no account to create. Scan the pairing QR and the controller loads and connects in a couple of seconds.
Does it work with the Matrix Browser desktop app?
Yes. The Matrix Browser has the same media-bar pairing as the web wall, so the phone remote drives your desktop video wall the same way. Scan the QR from its Connect popup and your phone controls mute, volume, layout and new streams across every pane on the big screen.
Is the connection private?
Yes. Your phone talks directly to the wall over a peer-to-peer WebRTC link, so control commands never route through our servers. There is no account, and nothing about what you watch is stored. The pairing code like wm-7c2f only works while the wall tab stays open.

Grab your phone. Scan the wall.

The QR in the Connect popup is the whole setup. Your phone is the remote from there.
